The national government reduced spending on office rents for public buildings by over two billion pesos.

The national government, through Agency for State Property Administration (AABE) under the Chief of the Ministerial Cabinet, has implemented a significant reduction in lease contracts for offices used by various ministries across the country. This measure is part of a policy aimed at optimizing and increasing efficiency in public resource management.

The portfolio led by Guillermo Francos reported the cancellation of 71 lease contracts nationwide, resulting in a monthly savings of $191,518,251 and an annual savings of $2,298,218,220. This contributes significantly to reducing public spending.

Through a thorough review and the implementation of new controls in the leasing process, the national government has streamlined the use of existing offices to ensure better utilization of available spaces and optimize state resources.

Specifically, 23 contracts were canceled in the province of Buenos Aires and 7 in Buenos Aires City (CABA), along with successive leases in Catamarca, Chaco, Chubut, Córdoba, Corrientes, Entre Ríos, Formosa, Jujuy, La Pampa, Mendoza, Misiones, Río Negro, Salta, San Juan, San Luis, Santa Cruz, Santa Fe, Santiago del Estero, Tierra del Fuego, and Tucumán.

These offices housed more than 3,500 jobs from the Secretariat of Tourism and Sports, Health Services Superintendency, Secretariat of Industry and Development, ANSES, AFIP, Superintendency of Occupational Risks (SRT), INADI, ENARGAS, Armed Forces Social Security Institute (IOSFA), Migration Office, National Institute of Industrial Technology (INTI), Federal Police, ENACOM, among others. In most cases, employees were relocated to offices and buildings owned by the national government.

Additionally, the national government plans to continue this optimization policy, anticipating the cancellation of an additional 106 lease contracts in the near future, following the guidelines of Director Nicolás Pakgojz. This action reaffirms the government's commitment to austerity and efficiency in managing state resources.
