The national government signed agreements on the transfer of public works with the province of Tierra del Fuego.

The Chief of Staff held a meeting today at Casa Rosada with the governor of Tierra del Fuego, Gustavo Melella, during which they signed agreements for the transfer and collaboration on public works.

According to the agreement, the province will take responsibility for the completion of housing, sanitation works, and educational and urban infrastructure. For its part, the national government will continue executing another set of strategic projects that are already well advanced.

At the signing, which took place in the Salón de los Escudos at Casa Rosada, the following officials were present: Deputy Chief of Interior Cabinet Lisandro Catalán; Secretary of Provinces and Municipalities Javier Milano; Secretary of Public Works Luis Giovine; Secretary of Territorial Development Rodrigo Aybar; Secretary of Education Carlos Torrendell; Undersecretary of Habitat and Housing Santiago Sánchez Sorondo; and head of ENOHSA Bartolomé Heredia.

Representing the government of Tierra del Fuego were the Minister of Public Works and Services, Gabriela Castillo, and the Director of Casa Tierra del Fuego, Maximiliano D'Alesio.

With the agreement signed today, there are now 20 provinces that have followed this path. In addition to Tierra del Fuego, Catamarca, Chaco, Chubut, Córdoba, Corrientes, Entre Ríos, Jujuy, La Rioja, Mendoza, Misiones, Neuquén, Río Negro, Salta, Santa Cruz, Santa Fe, San Juan, San Luis, Santiago del Estero, and Tucumán have also signed these kind of agreements with the national government.
