The national government and Mendoza signed an agreement for the transfer of works to the province
These include road works, sanitation, expansion of the potable water network, and housing.
The Chief of Staff, Guillermo Francos, and the Governor of Mendoza, Alfredo Cornejo, met today at the Casa Rosada, where the signing of two framework agreements for the transfer and collaboration in road works, sanitation, and the expansion of the potable water network and housing took place, in line with agreements already signed by various provinces.
The meeting was attended by the Deputy Chief of Staff of the Interior, Lisandro Catalán; the Secretary of Provinces and Municipalities, Javier Milano; the Secretary of Public Works, Luis Giovine; the Secretary of Territorial Development, Habitat, and Housing, Rodrigo Aybar; and the Deputy Secretary of Habitat and Housing, Santiago Sánchez Sorondo.
Also present at the signing was the Minister of Government, Infrastructure, and Territorial Development of Mendoza, Natalio Mema.
According to the agreements signed, some public works will be transferred to the province, while others will remain under the jurisdiction of the national government.
A few days ago, the national government signed similar agreements with the provinces of Tucumán, Entre Ríos, Jujuy, Chaco, Chubut, and Neuquén. In this context, additional agreements for the transfer of works are expected to be signed with the provinces of Catamarca and Córdoba in the coming days.
