The year 2022 proved to be a period of adaptation to a new normality that sought to gather the lessons learned from the stage of isolation and distancing and incorporate them to the forms of work and social relations previous to the pandemic.
One of this year´s highlights is that it was possible to reduce the final stock of files with respect to 2021. In addition to this, an institutional strengthening was possible on the basis of a development of different dissemination materials and a reconfiguration of the organisation's dialogue channels that allowed for better communication of decisions and competition policy.
In particular, the National Directorate of Anti-competitive Conducts recommended two sanctions for coordinated conduct and one for abuse of dominance, while the National Directorate of Economic Concentrations prepared three objection reports and concluded the processing of two of the operations that had been objected to in due course. For its part, the National Directorate for the Promotion of Competition made a pro-competitive recommendation and made numerous contributions in different spaces of institutional exchange. In turn, as regards the dissemination of the competition culture, the website was reconfigured and the organisation's news began to be communicated through social networks, achieving a closer approach with other competition agencies, the antitrust community and the general public. The General Directorate of Economic and Legal Studies, for its part, produced bulletins and case law search engines on competition matters, in addition to publishing working papers on different points of interest specific to competition law.
